Click here for downloadable or streaming audio, and more information.  Iraq, Afghan Vets Testify on Realities of War at Winter Soldier Hearings Interview with Geoff Millard, Washington D.C. chapter president of Iraq Veterans Against the War, conducted by Scott Harris 
United for Peace and Justice, the nation's largest antiwar coalition, is organizing a day of nonviolent direct action in the nation's capital on Mach 19th, the day in 2003 when the Iraq invasion began, which will include the participation of delegations from all 50 states. Local antiwar protests, vigils and teach-ins will be held in communities large and small around the country demanding an end to the war and occupation on the same day. From March 13 to 16, Iraq Veterans Against the War have organized the Winter Soldier hearings in Washington. Named for the 1971 Vietnam War era hearings, U.S. Iraq and Afghan War veterans will give testimony on the reality of what is going on in both of these conflicts and occupations. Between The Lines' Scott Harris spoke with Geoffrey Millard, a 9-year Veteran of the Army National Guard who served with the 42nd Infantry Division in Iraq for 13 months. Millard, who is currently Washington, D.C. chapter President of Iraq Veterans Against the War, discusses the purpose of the Winter Soldier hearings, which will be broadcast nationwide.
